About Shawn Abbott, iNovia Capital

A partner with iNovia Capital, Shawn Abbott has a passion for building communications and Internet start-up companies. Shawn is presently an investor and board member at Tynt, CoolIT Systems, SiXtron, Peraso and Reflex Photonics. He has played entrepreneur, investor, technical and general management roles across fifteen technology start-ups in three continents over 20 years. His work pioneering internet security as CTO, then President, at Rainbow Technologies (NASDAQ:RNBO) saw the company grow ten-fold in profitability before being sold to SafeNet (NASDAQ:SFNT) for nearly a half billion dollars. In the late 1980s, he established and built the AND Group, which pioneered the CD-ROM locking used on several million discs. He is an accomplished public speaker, having presented at more than one hundred conferences on digital security and entrepreneurism, and taught software design courses internationally. He is past chair of the Banff Venture Forum and on the Venture Capital Association of Alberta executive. He holds an early patent as one of the inventors of now popular USB keys. His publications include a chapter on hardware cryptography in the ICSA Guide to Cryptography. Shawn earned his Bachelor’s of Science in physics at the University of Alberta and has done postgraduate study at the University of Calgary, Stanford, and UC Irvine. Shawn is also an active rotary wing pilot.

About iNovia Capital

We manage relatively small venture capital funds, so that means we make our money when entrepreneurs and our

investors make money (not on massive fees). We are not afraid to lead deals or invest alone. We like to make relatively

small investments in seed stage companies that require limited capital to reach value creating milestones. Once these

milestones are reached, we have the capability to follow-on in later rounds and offer capital to scale businesses and

accelerate their growth. We have an outstanding network of angels, strategic partners and venture firms that we can

draw on as co-investors and advisors. In any case, we don’t let our fund economics dictate terms of a round, but prefer

About Bob de Wit, GreenAngel Energy Corp

Bob de Wit is a Vancouver based investor, mentor, director and consultant to growth-stage technology companies. He expresses his passion for entrepreneurship as Executive Director of New Ventures BC, Director of GreenAngel Energy Corp, and as an active member of the VANTEC angel network and the WUTIF angel fund. Annually, he mentors or reviews the best of the new technology ventures coming out of British Columbia each year. About Bill McKenzie, Next Equities

Bill is a Senior Advisor to Next Equities and a Director on its Advisory Board. He gained extensive experience in private investments plus corporate development by leading over 20 investments, and serving as a director of over 20 companies. Bill was Senior Vice President of Alberta Investment Management Corporation(AIMCo), where he led a team to source, assess, negotiate and actively manage international investments in excess of $2 billion. For 15 years, he was Vice President of Vencap, one of Canada’s largest and most active private equity investors, assessing hundreds of investments and assisting portfolio companies on strategy, corporate finance and executive recruitment. About Mike Volker

Michael Volker is an Entrepreneur active in the development of new high technology ventures. A University of

Waterloo Engineering grad, Mike started his own company (Volker-Craig Ltd) in 1973. He sold this company in 1981 and

then decided to work with entrepreneurs in building new companies. He is presently the director of Simon Fraser 

University's Innovation Office. Check out his latest two projects: Greenangel Energy Corp.,[GAE.V] a public company 

that invests in green technologies and WUTIF - the Western Universities Technology Innovation Fund - an "angel" fund

for start-ups. To further encourage tech entrepreneurship, Mike runs the Vancouver Angel Network, VANTEC and he's

also quite active with New Ventures BC - an annual business competition. Mike was also chairman of the Vancouver 

Enterprise Forum for several years.
